An Encounter with Christ
The Cursillo Movement is dedicated to spreading the Word of God and helping people form a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. The Cursillo employs a method that emphasizes the importance of living the gospels in order to make Christian community possible in families, neighborhoods, work situations and other places where people live the greater part of their lives. It proposes no new type of spirituality, but simply a method through which one’s spirituality may be developed, lived and shared so as to make it possible for anyone in the world to live a Christian life in a natural way.
Simply stated, the ultimate goal of Cursillo is that on the Day of Judgment there may be more saints, but its immediate purpose is to provide an understanding and conviction concerning what is fundamental for being a Christian.
